Basic Art and Design Skills

Digital Art and Design Technical Skills

Students must demonstrate the ability to apply basic concepts and techniques in various artistic forms such as drawing, painting and photography. In addition, students are expected to show evidence and a clear understanding in the areas of elements and principles of design, color theory, aesthetics and evaluation of works of art and design.
Students must demonstrate a working knowledge of tools and technology, including their roles in the creation, reproduction, and distribution of visual messages. Relevant tools and technologies include, but are not limited to, drawing, offset printing, photography, and time-based and interactive media (film, video, computer multimedia).

Advanced / Specialized Skills

General Knowledge Skills

Students must demonstrate a working knowledge of artistic media and tools. Relevant tools and technologies include, but are not limited to, drawing, painting, three-dimensional media, photography, printmaking, two-dimensional computer graphics, and interactive and time-based media.
​Students must demonstrate the ability to read, listen, write and speak effectively in Standard English expected at the college level. Students must also utilize critical thinking skills and analysis in the areas of Science and Technology, Social Sciences, History and Arts. 

Interpersonal Skills

Work Ethic Standards

Students must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a team, develop interpersonal/intergroup communication and relationships, and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Students must demonstrate a working knowledge of the nature of business, understand and practice personal qualities that supports the working environment, personal management, business ethics, client representation, client respect, and industry standards.
